Distilled from sugarcane molasses, this rum was carefully aged for 8 years in American oak barrels. It was then finished for 2 months in barrels that were previously used to mature the famous local Coloma Coffee Liqueur, where it acquires its smooth notes of roasted mocha and coffee. A true revelation of its unique Colombian heritage.
Blended by two master blenders at Hacienda Coloma, Judith Ramírez and Sandra Reategui, Ron Coloma is hydrated with Andean spring water, then filtered through coffee filters, to develop its distinct tasting notes.
With a light brown color and subtle copper hues to the eye, the delicate notes of vanilla and mocha in Ron Coloma 8 Años combine with delicate wood aromas.
A fine balance of vanilla, mocha, and softly roasted coffee will follow on your palate, before slowly fading into a soft, round, and complex coffee finish.
